Owner of Desert Moon Consulting, Dr. Bailey has coached individuals, couples, families, government agencies, and business groups in personal growth, team building, and holistic development. Nationally known in the treatment industry, Nancy is passionate about creating an environment where individuals and families can heal in a safe and supported space. Dr. Bailey has experience working with high profile and entertainment industry clients where discretion and confidentiality are paramount. Nancy works from a positive and collaborative model that is inclusive and solution oriented. Dr. Bailey is also an adjunct professor in post graduate university studies and serves as a content specialist on doctoral dissertation committees. In addition, Dr. Bailey has consulted with behavioral health facilities in the United States to aid in the development and enhancement of their clinical program curriculum, staff training, and delivery of clinical services. Nancy is an advisor for IC&RC in the development and revision credentialing examinations.
Dr. Bailey is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Capella University where she received her Ph.D. from the Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Studies with a focus on Counseling Studies. In addition, she earned her Master of Science degree from Eastern University in Non-Profit Management and a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern University in Organizational Management. Nancy is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor II, Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional, Certified Experiential Therapist (Advanced), and holds specialized training certifications in Trauma Studies, BrainPaint neurofeedback, Equine Assisted Growth and Learning, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and EMDR. With over 25 years of experience in the field of behavioral health treatment, Nancy specializes in experiential modalities including trauma-informed therapies and equine-assisted therapy. Dr. Bailey has been in executive and leadership roles at some of the top facilities in the behavioral health care industry including: Caron Treatment Centers, CRC Health – White Deer Run, and The Meadows. She has specialized skills in program development, strategic planning and staff training, as well as a background in Human Resources and Benefit Administration. Nancy trained with Pia Mellody at The Meadows treatment center in Arizona in Post Induction Therapy and has facilitated training of other industry professionals in the PIT Model.
In her free time, you will most likely find Nancy enjoying the outdoors with her horses and dogs and exploring local consignment and antique shops with her husband.
