Nicole received both her undergraduate degree in Business and her Masters of Social Work from Arizona State University, before going on to complete one of two clinical internships at the world-renowned inpatient facility The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona. Here she trained directly with some of the world's leading experts and pioneers in the fields of trauma and addiction, including Pia Mellody, author of Facing Codependency and Facing Love Addiction, and Sarah Bridge, MSW, LCSW for Post-Induction Therapy, Feelings Reduction and Inner Child intensive training. She has also began specializing in compulsive sexual behaviors and is a CSAT Candidate.
Nicole is now in Orange County, California where she continues to specialize in trauma and addiction, with particular focus on the important integration of healthy boundaries, communication and relationships in the journey towards fulfillment and healing. Nicole offers group facilitation, couples counseling and family therapy, as well as intensive one to one sessions. Her core areas of expertise cover a broad spectrum of disorders, including trauma and PTSD, family dysfunction, addiction, depression and codependency -- affording her with a comprehensive understanding and perspective towards the complex treatment of dual diagnoses.
Nicole's approach combines the use of Pia Mellody's Developmental Immaturity Model with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients to develop a deeper understanding of their emotional and behavioral difficulties, whilst offering them tools with which to find new, healthy coping strategies.
Nicole also has a firm understanding of 12-step programs and how to integrate their founding principles both in recovery and in everyday life.
